IU School of Dentistry "Dental Day" for college and high school students is Oct. 5

Dental Day is an annual program hosted by IU School of Dentistry students for individuals who would like to learn more about the field of dentistry. Presentations will include information about careers as dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants.

The event welcomes college students for the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) program and high school and college students for the Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting programs.


Date:          Saturday, October 5, 2013


Time:          Dentistry: 9:00 a.m. – noon. 
                   (Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m.)

                    Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting: 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
                    (Check-in begins at 10:00 a.m.)

Location:    IU School of Dentistry, 1121 West Michigan Street, IUPUI campus

Attire:         Casual


Participants are required to register online: Dental Day registration.  Due to space limitations, participants are limited to two guests.

Tours of the dental school will be conducted.  Presentations and panel discussions will be led by faculty, students, and practicing dental professionals.

Participants will find convenient parking on campus in two public parking garages on the east side of IUSD: the Barnhill Street garage or the Vermont Street garage.

Program agendas will be available on Dental Day in the dental school’s patient reception lobby on the first floor.
