Main Goal

To develop/evaluate new technologies for the early detection of dental caries.

Specific Goals

The primary objectives of the Early Caries Detection and Management Program are to:

  • Evaluate and validate new technologies being developed for the early detection of dental caries (primary, secondary and root surface caries)

  • Utilize these new technologies to identify more efficient measures for the prevention and control of dental caries
