Narrative of Professional Career
Dr. Brooke Adams studied biology at IUPUI and then went on to graduate from IU School of Dentistry with a D.D.S. degree in 2005. After graduation, she and her husband moved to Brentwood, Tennessee where she joined a private practice. Brooke returned to Indiana in 2007 and she began working part-time in private practice in Greenwood, as well as joining the faculty as a part-time faculty member. In 2010, she became a full-time clinical assistant professor. Since that time, she has assumed the role of the course director for Tooth Morphology and serves as an instructor to the first year dental students in the operative technique courses. She teaches as a clinical instructor to the 3rd and 4th year students. Brooke is involved in various committees within the school, and serves as a faculty liason to the first year class. She is actively involved in the Consortium of Operative Dental Educators and additionally, the American Dental Education Association. Brooke’s primary areas of interest in education have been in the development of a clinical formative assessment tool and a new faculty orientation program for our clinical faculty. She has also been involved with the integration of CAD/CAM technology into the curriculum.
