Professor Ford holds the position of Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics and Allied Dental Programs. She is a graduate of Indiana University School of Dentistry Dental Assisting Program where she received her Certificates in Dental Assisting and Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary.  Professor Ford continued her education in dental hygiene at the Indiana State University – Evansville campus (now University of Southern Indiana) and earned a BS degree in Dental Hygiene Education and a Masters Degree in Social Work from USI.

 

Professor Ford returned to IUSD in January 2005 after a dental career that includes employment in the following areas: Hospital Dentistry, Pediatric Dentistry, Periodontics, General Practice and Education. She brings a rich background of experience in dentistry to her teaching along with 12 years of teaching experience before joining the faculty at IUSD.



The current focus of Professor Ford’s teaching is Dental Materials I & II and Expanded Restorative Functions, three courses where she is the Course Director.  She team teaches in Clinical Science I & II and Oral Anatomy with other IUSD faculty members.
