Director of Development
Mr. John E. Hoffman assumes the responsibilities of Director of Development for Indiana University School of Dentistry. Mr. Hoffman oversees and manages the continued successful operation of the Office of Development at IUSD. His duties include planning, implementing and managing all major gift initiatives for our school as well as overseeing all other fundraising efforts specific to IUSD. John is also responsible for the direction of fundraising initiatives for both the near and long term future.
Mr. Hoffman joined the IUSD family in August of 2002 as Major Gifts Officer and Director of Campaigns following four years as Major Gifts Officer for the University of Evansville.
Ms. Pamela J. Lovejoy has been with the Development Office at IU School of Dentistry since 1996, prior to that she worked in Dental Publications at the School. She is the Director of Annual Giving responsible for the coordination of annual appeals and donor recognition events and donor stewardship. Pam is also responsible for all the Dental Foundation Accounts acting as the account manager for 120+ accounts. She is a 2004 graduate of the School of Liberal Arts Continuing Studies Program at IU.
Prior to joining IUSD in 1992 she served 12 years in the United States Navy.
J. Travis McDearmon, PhD
Dr. Travis McDearmon started at the IU School of Dentistry in July of 2013. As the Assistant Director of Development, Travis' responsibilities include extending the alumni outreach efforts both locally and out-of-state in order to get more graduates involved in school initiatives. Travis will also continue his research agenda through IUSD and investigate alumni role perceptions and how it relates to instiutional support.
Travis earned his doctorate in Studies of Higher Education from the University of Kentucky. Before joining the IUSD development team, McDearmon worked as a major gifts officer and director of annual giving for the UK College of Arts and Sciences.
