IUSD Research Day

Monday April 7th, 2014

The 22nd Indiana University School of Dentistry Research Day will be held on Monday April 7th, 2014 from 12:00 pm – 4:30 pm at the IUPUI Campus Center on the third and fourth floors.

The IUSD Research Day is an annual event highlighting the advances in basic and clinical research of the students, staff and faculty associated with Indiana University School of Dentistry. The Indiana Section is the local link to the National and the International organizations for dental research (American Association for Dental Research - AADR and International Association for Dental Research - IADR).

Opening remarks will be given by Dr. Jay L. Hess, Dean of the School of Medicine and Vice President for University Clinical Affairs at Indiana University.

This year’s keynote speaker is Peter Polverini, D.D.S, DMSc, Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology in the Department of Periodontics & Oral Medicine and Former Dean of the U Michigan School of Dentistry, and President of the American Association for Dental Research.

Following the keynote address, research and clinical case poster presentations will be displayed. The poster sessions are designed to encourage the interaction among presenters and attendees, with ample time allotted for questions and discussion. Research day also includes an award program to honor the award winners in several categories. There is also a commercial exhibit by leading manufacturers and companies before and after the presentations.
