Dr. Thomas G. Barrick joined the Department of Oral Pathology, Medicine and Radiology in 2005. After receiving his DDS degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry, Dr. Barrick served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Dental Corp. Following his military service, he returned to Indianapolis where he was in private practice for 23 years.
Dr. Barrick is a professional dental consultant for practice transitions, is a risk management consultant for Medical Assurance/ProAssurance, serves as the Chairman of the Claims Underwriting Committee for ProAssurance, and provides CE courses for Pro-Dentec’s Vizilite.
Dr. Barrick holds professional memberships in the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, and the Indianapolis District Dental Society. His professional work with the Indiana Dental Association includes serving on the IDA Wellness Committee, serving on the IDA Insurance, Relief, and Retirement Committee, serving as the Vice Chairman of the IDA Peer Review Committee (2009), and serving as the Chairman of the IDA Peer Review Committee (2010). He is the IDDS Alternate Delegate for the Indiana Dental Association and is the Chairman of the Medical Assurance Claims Committee.
Aside from his professional work, Dr. Barrick is an active volunteer participant in the ADA’s Give Kids a Smile Day and with the Little Red Door’s oral cancer screening health fairs.
